Throughout my life, my parents have worked hard to provide for our family. They have shown me the importance of having a steady career while being able to take care of three children. The major sociological roles that have impacted my life are family, friends, and education. These roles have not only affected me as an individual but also my view on society as a whole. Today’s society is constantly changing and if we don’t follow it closely we may get left behind.

The friends that I made in elementary school helped shape me to make me who I am today. Friends are the backbone of most of a person's morals. They show you what they think is right and wrong, and despite a parents advice you will probably follow through with it. Originally, a parent teaches their child to succeed socially in the world. They encourage you to make friends at a young age, and those skills follow you throughout your life. It becomes easier to make friends after a certain point in your life. I am still friends with people that I became friends with in kindergarten, but I have also lost friends over the years. I became friends with my best friend in grade six. She has helped shape me over the years to be the person that I am today. Although no friendship is perfect, in grade 11 she got mixed up with the wrong crowd for a brief period of time, but she was able to move on from that stage of her life.
