1 Introduction
Public private partnership is when government forms partnership with the private sector, through this partnership activities that were done by the government are now being done by the private sector, and services that were delivered by the government are now being delivered by the private sector, however this does not mean that government does not play a role in the activities done or services delivered, but the government will oversee the quality of the service delivered or the activity done. Public private partnership does not only involve the delivering of public service, but can also include the improving national infrastructure, for example the upgrading Chris Baragwaneth hospital, which is one the biggest hospital in the

In addition public private partnership is defined as set of institutional relationship between the government and various actors in the private sector and civil society, and public private partnership exist when the government and the private sector work together in one way or another, however the public private partnership is also defined as an arrangement, whereby government remains actively involved throughout the partnership or project’s life cycle, and the private sector is responsible for the commercial functions such as project design, construction, finance and …show more content…
Even when the public sector was almost the only sector that was the direct supplier of services, the private sector still played a role in different in different nations, contributing to building the physical base significant for public service delivery. In addition when comparing the difference between the private sector, a profit making organization and public sector, a non-profit organization. The public organization are legalistic in nature; their service function dictates that profit is not the most important objective, while in most cases the functioning of a private sector dictates that profit is the most important objective, and this can also include during time of service
