A negative teen’s main goal in life is to seek happiness and pleasure. Happiness can be hard to come by. For most of them, they think they can find happiness in pleasure and entertainment. They satisfy themselves with what they take pleasure in, or makes them feel good. And what they take pleasure in doing may actually be immoral and illogical to their character, dignity, integrity, personality, and inner spiritual well-being. They also believe that the more they’ve got, the happier they will be. More money equals more material things they will be able to purchase to make themselves feel good. Can money and material things really bring the happiness and peace of mind they are after?

The Bible teaches that a Christian is a contended, happy person. It tells us that we will find happiness only by seeking God’s will first (and the Bible never lies). We as human beings have a tendency to seek happiness through selfish means. But neither greed nor fortune nor fame nor pleasure will ever provide more than momentary satisfaction. It’s very sad to see those innocent children and teenagers following in our footsteps. What a heavy load to put on their shoulders. God says that if we follow the Bible step by step, it will beautifully fill every need that we have. God’s word can be the meditation of our hearts and souls. We can find peace day and night in good relation with the Lord. Those negative teenagers and adults need Jesus in their lives in order to better the condition that they are living in. It’s illogical and immoral on the part of those negative teens and adults to be seeking wealth, pleasure, negative entertainment, and happiness while their souls remain empty and lost. This entire search only takes them in a vicious cycle of stress and frustration. They are still empty and lonely with a troubled mind in a troubled world.
