Pennies Do we really need pennies? Are they worth all the extra money we spend on them? I don’t think they are. I think we should get rid of the pennies. Although pennies may add- up they are a waste of money. You can’t really buy anything for just one cent anymore. In my opinion it’s “Dull-witted”. Pennies cost more than what their worth. This has been a problem for many years. I honestly think that pennies are worthless. Pennies cost us about 600 million dollars a year (at the most). According to blogs.wsj.com pennies are only worth one cent and cost two dollars and seven cents to make. Although it doesn't seem like much money, the penny is only worth 1 cent. with all the pennies we produce it cost millions a year; like I said Pennies
