a. Dress
i. I was dressed professionally when at school. I wore jeans on Fridays when it was appropriate. Otherwise, I was always dressed in a blouse or sweater with dress pants. I tried to incorporate new ideas and programs while at both of my placements. While at Annandale, I went away from the drudgery of the curriculum and tried to revamp different activities and make them my own. Although my teacher liked my ideas, she was more comfortable with using the slides that she had made. At St. Michael, I taught my cooperating teacher about Kahoot. Kahoot is an interactive website that allows you to create or use previously created quizzes. I created two different quizzes to help my students prepare for the unit test. I did this instead of using just a paper and pencil review. Also, while at St. Michael, I taught my cooperating teacher different strategies to help students understand multiplication and practice. I taught my cooperating teacher about intersecting line theory or Chinese line multiplication. Also, while at STMA, the teachers did not use anticipatory sets. I researched and looked up many different ideas to introduce lessons in a fun and meaningful way.
c. Enthusiasm
i. I believe that I showed my enthusiasm and love for teaching throughout the entire semester. This semester has been extremely rough as I have lost a close family friend and four great-aunts/great-uncles. However, I never let the students see that I was upset or sad and I never let it affect the lessons that I presented to them. I believe that I continued to demonstrate my enthusiasm with my daily interactions with students. When greeting them at the door, I

Walking in the first day, I was greeted by enthusiastic “scholars” as they are collectively referred to. These students have both challenged and furthered my analysis of the following philosophers-Martin Luther King Jr. and Thomas Hobbes. Throughout this reflection I will investigate further the experiences and people I have encountered thus far. Growing up I attended a private school. At the school everyone wore the standard navy blue skirt or pant option paired with a white polo shirt.…

Wrestling Changed My Life Seventh grade was the most exciting school year I have experienced, because I made the Wrestling Team. However, I was not expecting this outcome, because prior my triumph, I was being declined the opportunity to participate in an extracurricular activity. Immediately after I was introduced to the sport of wrestling, my thoughts were flooded with the goal of becoming a wrestler. Unfortunately, I knew my Mom would never agree to let me wrestle, and the moment I asked for her consent, she declined my request. However, I desired to be a part of the wresting squad, so I knew the only way I could be a member was to convince my Mom I deserved the chance to be on the Wrestling team.…

Professor Jose Emmanuel Raymundo made very clear expectations regarding attendance, behavior and participation in the beginning of this semester. Attendance was not only essential for adhering to the SRJC’s Attendance Requirements, but also to ensure concrete knowledge and understanding of the provided materials while moving through the course. I made it a priority to come to every single class this semester and I am proud to have achieved that goal. Arriving on time to class was also emphasized and Professor Raymundo provided the quote, “If you’re early, you’re on time. If you’re on time, you’re late” to showcase his expectations.…

At home she would get constant beatings from her mother until she finally got tired of it and left. The only motivation she really had were the complements she would receive from her teachers.…

Professionalism at the school campus has many roles that I have to take into consideration. The number one thing I feel is that I follow the school policies. Going to class every day and being on time, also meaning staying for the whole class time and not leaving early.…

I have participated in a number of clubs and extracurricular activities during my time attending Roman Catholic High School. I started playing rugby my freshman year in high school. We were not the best team, but we had a lot of fun and also won a few games. We did not get much better during the following years, mostly because we were not blessed with the same size and athleticism as other school’s teams in our league were. Now in my last year, I am being nominated for a captain position to help lead the younger students in games and also help them develop as a player and student for Roman Catholic.…

When I delivered the teaching session, the experience was an overall success with students showing a clear interest and engaging in the lesson (Table 1, question 10, mean 4.3). The teaching began with a clear introduction to the key learning points for the whole session (Table 1, question 5, mean 4.3), which allowed the students to understand what the session was going to entail. This was beneficial to those who needed to see the big picture to see how topics fit together[1]. I further explained that the session will be split into three sections and explained that certain learning outcomes will be covered in each section. Student feedback stated that there was “enthusiastic teaching in appropriate sized teaching bites.”…
