Plumbers and drivers are required to have a license, so why not license someone who is planning to be a parent? Everyone should acquire a parenting license in order to become parents. Many people believe that potential parents should have to take multiple oral and written exams. Taking the exams could help the mother keep the child safer. Raising a child could be one of the hardest things you ever do in your life, and making sure that parents have a parenting license could help them prepare for the task of raising a child. Parents should have to obtain a license because of child endangerment and people becoming parents that are not fit to be one. Some individuals do drugs after they have a child and/or become alcoholics. Drugs cause hallucinations and depression and alcohol can cause high blood pressure which increases the risk of having a heart attack or stroke and it also weakens the heart muscles. Weakening of the heart muscles could lead to heart failure. These people are not fit to be parents because their drugs and alcohol come before their own child. Having hallucinations from the drugs can make humans see things they really are not seeing which could make them go crazy. Also, being that a parent is an alcoholic, could have heart failure, then the child has no one to take care of them. As said by the author of the daily mail "No child should be condemned to this life of misery because they were brought into the world by a hopeless drug addict." No child should have to lay in filth or urine and suffer from being starved while the mother goes on with her pitiful life, as if her son was not even there.
