Osei started off becoming a leader of one of the many small city states in the area. He was taken into Denkyira and made into a slave for a long time before escaping, but while he was, he learned a lot about their military strategies and all kinds of war tactics this was one of his biggest advantages in the coming future. There were many great Asante rulers after Osei but none as great as him like Opuku Ware, who made the interior of the kingdom stronger than ever, but this interior was due to Osei he always had an effect in the later rulers. Another great Asante ruler was Osei Bonsu, who made the country wealthier and made a very good form of communication, but he wouldn’t have been able to make the country so rich without Tutu’s amazing trading ties with the Europeans all the later rulers made the country better but none as great as Osei who made the kingdom and made it strong. They did run into a problem 200 years later the British made and attempt to attack the Asante, but their military was far too strong for the British to just send a small army and take them over they defeated them and made peace with the British but this wasn’t the last of the British. The war of fighting had been ended, but when British traders came, they encouraged the northern rulers to split away from the kingdom and other did the same the Asante kingdom was pulled apart and into a piece, then it was easy for the British to come in and just claim all of them for England thus ending the kingdom as a whole and the effect of Osei
