Why Organization Is Important To You Essay

Organization is important for me because without it my life would be chaos. The more I learn about other people and their lives the more I realize that I am not the only one with a lot on my plate. That being said, I still do need a planner, my phone, and sticky notes to keep me focused on what I need to get done on a certain day at a certain time. Twenty-four hours in a day are sometimes not enough to juggle all the things I have to accomplish, even while being relatively organized. I need to make time for my lectures and quiz sections from Monday to Friday while also finding time to study for quizzes and midterms. I also cook my own meals, which calls for grocery shopping, food preparation, and knowing when I have the time to cook. I have to keep a clean apartment, which can sometimes be difficult in an apartment with four people living in it. I definitely cannot forget to water my plants twice a day, everyday. In middle school they provided planners for all the students and made it mandatory to use them for some classes. Ever since, I have loved the idea of having my schedule all mapped out for me so I have no room to forget anything. For the past two years I have been buying personalized planners online that allow me the layout, the style, if I want an address book at the end, full year calendars inside, and even the picture of my choice for the front and back covers. I make sure to write all the important things I need to get done in planner as soon as I find out about them. Sometimes however I do not have my planner on me. For the week beginning on 28 August 2017 and ending on the 1 September 2017, I used two different types of weekly planners. One was focused more on the classes and total hours of work throughout the day, while the other was more of a checklist of what was done in a day. I liked the way the first planner was less list-like, but it didn’t allow room for more than the core subjects. That left me confused on where to place community meetings, advising, and electives. Also, there was no section for what’s due that week.…

I have worked with diverse groups of people most of my career, including my time in University. I am most comfortable, and happy, in this type of environment because it offers me unique learning opportunities. I have found, in the past, that I work well in an individually driven environment; however, I can certainly be productive in a team based setting as well.…

For example, from the moment I started in the dental hygiene program I was determined to pass my courses and to graduate. I had to be determined in my courses if I wanted to be able to take my state board and hopefully become a licensed dental hygienist. My calendar app on my phone is the only way I keep up with my busy schedule. When adding to my calendar I make sure I have a brief description that reminds me of what I have to accomplish. Usually, for appointments I have scheduled I set a reminder for that morning to inform me about upcoming appointments for that day, so I am better aware of my day. As I mentioned in my introduction, I am a Dental Assistant in the Army, and I see multiple patients on a daily basis.…
