Introduction
In the recent years, scientific research has led to gigantic strides in the production of food from animals. The scientific selection of breeding animals, a better understanding of nutrition provided to animals and the control of diseases has revolutionized the production of food from animals. People across the world have been able to consume a more nutritious diet than ever before. In virtually every country, scientific knowledge about raising agricultural animals has resulted in the highest living standard of the people. However, the commercialization of animal agriculture has led to the negligence of animal health. It is unfortunate that people have lost a sense of touch with the nature.

Organic food does not contain any chemical poisons that are usually present in the commercial food. Hence, the consumer can be sure that there is no risk of attaining dangerous cancers that arise from consuming chemicals in food. When compared to regular food, organic food contains a huge number of nutrients in the form of vitamins and minerals. Due to a higher nutritional value, consumers can gain a great deal of benefits from consuming organic food. Furthermore, organic food is tastier than regular food due to the quality of the soil and growing environment of the animals. Meat and dairy products are at a higher risk of contamination from harmful drugs and hormones. Furthermore, the hormones fed to cattle and sheep are unbreakable and enter human diet in their original form, which is hazardous to human health. However, organic meat and dairy products are free from any kind of drugs, and prove nutritious for humans. Another benefit of organic food is environmental preservation. Soil and crop rotation incorporated in the organic farms supports the sustenance of the ecosystem in a better way. Therefore, most of the consumers get inclined to purchasing regular food fearing the expenses of organic food. In order to evaluate the costs of organic food, it is essential to understand the intensive management practices and labor utilized for the production of organic food. However, price becomes a less important parameter among regular consumers when their experience about organic food enhances and becomes a healthy lifestyle choice. Another perspective of the consumers is regarding whether organic food is really healthier or just a label to squeeze more money from the consumers. Although there are reasonable number of consumers who purchase organic food in order to prevent the harmful impact of pesticides and fertilizers, there are equal numbers of those who argue that the limits of fertilizers and pesticides found in non-organic food are far below the acceptable levels. This notion has been preventing the consumers from choosing organic food over non-organic food. Some consumers also feel that the organic food is not completely organic as it does use various natural pesticides, which are capable of making the consumers sick and bringing serious illnesses including cancer.
