It’s important to have opinions you can share, but equally important not to force your opinions on others. This includes religion and government policies- two particularly sensitive camps.
Character traits
- Establish good character traits and encourage others below you to do the same.
Goals
- Don’t swim upstream, rather use the current to help you get where you want to go.
- To achieve your objectives, establish goals well above them.
- Given appropriate time, goals are only difficult if you don’t know how to achieve them, so search out educational opportunities.
Getting things done
Use the resources you have and search for more to accomplish your goals and objectives

Must be managed tightly to get a good, integrated, overall product.
Politicians and Politics
- Most have three priorities; jobs, jobs, jobs- their jobs and are supported by their appropriate teams (for team sake) to the extreme. President Carter was one fine exception to the rule.
- Most politicians are guided by what they have experienced themselves rather than understanding what’s good for the country; e.g. Cheney on oil and lesbianism from his daughter, Obama on health care for poor people from his mother. That’s not Maslow’s level six.
- Use projection techniques when cornered
-People vote against their interest in favor of being entertained or supporting their team. It’s important to do appropriate research and stay informed
-The system is parties that don’t want to solve problems (especially social), they want to take sides - Over time, our Democracy has changed from “of the people, by the people and for the people to of the industry / political donors, by the politicians, and for the industry / political donors and it will stay that way until the people demand otherwise.
