Cyberbullying is also a serious problem that causes harm. They create a bad environment for other students or teachers. Should limiting online speech for student be allowed for schools? I think schools should limit students online speech because of the bad environment, cyberbullying, and civil rights law.

Cyberbullying is bad and can cause a lot of bad things to a person or to multiple persons. Some evidence to this is that in document B it shows the 12.5% of the teachers that got bullied had to go to the doctor or took sick leave: suffering from stress. Some evidence to this is that in document E it shows the principle saying “What did they steal this time,” the teacher that’s in the office responds “Privacy and dignity.” (Document E) This relates to if someone cyberbullied me very badly I would probably lose my privacy and dignity which happened to this teacher he lost dignity and doesn’t teach as well when the student is in the class. Some evidence that schools should not limit students online speech is that in document E it shows the man in the office saying he lost dignity he looks calm and sane. Similarly to the traditional bullying, cyberbullying consists of an intimidator or bully and a victim. In many situations, people generally take the victim’s side, because they appear weak and powerless. I believe that cyberbullying should be better regulated and not be protected under the First Amendment. Unlike other offensive acts like flag burning that illustrates disrespect, cyberbullying inflicts psychological and emotional harm that may potentially lead victims into committing negative acts. I believe that the First Amendment should be revised to adjust to today’s social situation, especially in terms of technology.…

I do not think that cyberbullying should be an issue. If there is a conflict between two people, those two people should sit down and talk about it. Instead what I happening is one person will hear about something and then post about it to the internet. When the other person find out about this information, they become furious and lash out. The lash out leads to name calling and putting each other down.…
