Importance Of Observing Society

For as long as I can recall I have enjoyed the ability to observe society and those that live within it, henceforth, recently in the past weeks I have enjoyed spending time with a few close acquaintances from going to a public restaurant to enjoying a motion picture flick. In all these activities I was able to not only observe the public but the environment around us and found some interesting aspect that stood out to me. Observing while spending time socialize is anything from easy as I felt the pull of my companions need to distract me at every turn but I pushed forward and tried to use all my sense in order to enjoy every aspect of all these activities to relish the benefit of the world around me. I noticed that the atmosphere of those around in chitter chatter sync based on the music that surrounded above us from friendly banter to a harden discussion behind us. Noise wasn’t the only thing that surrounded me but the glorious array of art and pictures that was spread throughout the area that I was able to perceive all were done within neutral colors as to not distract the customers from those around them. But how many times have we as individuals sat in a restaurant and take in all the images that are present around us to the noises that frame the area and even the food that is given. Yet I have noticed in this trip that in all my time I have never contemplated the taste of the food I consumed, to taste the spice in the sauce to the present of garlic presented in a side. After taking in the senses of this restaurant, I wanted to contemplate on everything I gathered and realized that when you’re in a group environment people and the things around you tend to be livelier and active which I think can alter one’s own mood and …show more content…
While a theatre is as packed as a restaurant its atmosphere was altered from a loud and lively socializing place into a more quiet and few hushed communications spread throughout the theater. The first things that I took in where the images of the seats surrounding us some filled with people and others empty. As well as the darkness that surrounded us which then brought out my senses of hearing, from taking in the tapping of a cell phone to hush discussion from individuals. I noticed that once it went pitch dark my hearing went first into over drive taking in the loud boom of the speakers to the noises of feet walking into seats. After my two major senses kicked in, I noticed that another sense started to show when my fingers touched the seat underneath me and felt course fabric to the plastic pattern cup
