Advocacy is a bold but critical concept that should be the core of every hospital. My calling to be an advocate for children from urban and diverse backgrounds. This is my goal in life because I need to be able to pass along what nurses from my childhood imparted to me: hope and strength. I have countless number of patients who I have advocated in big ways as well as small but just as meaningful ways. However, wanting to do more is why I am pursing Rady’s now. I am eager to be in a children’s hospital again where I have many diverse needs that need advocating for in addition to other needs being met. Also, I already looked into organizations in the southern California area that if I am able to move to the Escondido area for this position at Palomar Pomerado location, that I will start volunteering with their advocacy and outreach …show more content…
Research is critical to make sure nursing actions are always the best practice. I have conducted informational and experimental research in several departments at Seattle Pacific University. My appreciation of research will help me know I am providing evidence based care that will best help my patients. Next year, alongside working, I hope to next year finish a second bachelors in Human Health in Performance. The only requirement I have left is to finish completing a research project relating to health care. This aspiration demonstrates that my commitment to education and research didn’t end when I earned my bachelors in nursing. Being employed by you will likely help the credibility of my research project but it will also be beneficial for you to be able to say what your employees are involved
