NYLT stands for National Youth Leadership Training. This training is run through Boy Scouts and is a one week long camp. I did this high intensity camp last year and was the hardest thing I did in my life. The day before i left to go i was extremely nervous and was sick that 's how scared I was. For me to be eligible to go to this camp i had to lose 24 pounds in 4 weeks i did it but was extremely hard running multiple times a day and eating so little. I was packing and all that i can bring was whatever i can fit in my Army backpack from my cousin. Trying to fit a week 's worth of supplies and fitting it in the bag was not easy with also bringing spare of almost everything just to be prepared. The most useful tool the list says was my knife for multiple reasons that it can be used for. Once I get the entire backpack filled to the max i put it on my back and it felt like i put a 150 pound rock on my back. I was ready to leave and loaded up the car and had a hour ride a head of me. Give examples of how the practice of ministry has affected your experience and understanding of A) God At the core of my understanding of God is a God of love in covenantal relationship with God’s children. Romans 8:38-39 says it well; “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The practice of ministry has only proven to strengthen that belief. I was called early Saturday morning to sit with a family who had just learned of the death of their daughter/granddaughter in a vehicle accident.…

It was a rainy morning in Seattle, and I wore my Army dress uniform. Stepping off the bus, I ran 100 yards to the entrance of the Airport. After I purchased my ticket and checked my bags, I headed to the bar. It was the time of the winter equinox, and I was headed home with my discharge in my duffle bag. I suppose I should have worn my civilian clothes, but I had been stateside six months, and the comradeship I experienced in Vietnam had yet to loosen its grip on me.…
