Importance Of My Relationship In Sunday School

The relationships that I have noticed is the relationship between me and my students and the relationships that they have with each other. With the relationship with my students they show their respect for me and I return the same respect when going on a church outing the kids always surround me because I make each and everyone one feel special. I let my inner child come out to relate them on their level and really enjoy spending time with them. The relationship between the students are great they are so willing to help each other out I promote positivity so the students, encourage other and truly are loving toward one another as Christ would have his children to be. I constantly teach them the importance of treating their brothers and sisters in Christ in the same manner that they would want to be treated.
The insights that I have had from my experience teaching Sunday school that every endeavor that I pursue takes time and patience .I do not have to rush myself to be perfect so to speak and realize that I will not succeed in everything that want to attempt. Moreover the insight I expect more of myself than the children or other members expect from myself they simply love to learn and have fun doing it. I know now that it is okay to slow down and take a moment to breathe to organize my thoughts and process what I want to say rather than

To encourage my students to excel in Sunday school I am in the process of setting up a reward system that would be a chart where students would earn stars on the chart for various goals that they accomplish for example, when they correctly recite the Lord’s prayer, answer review questions after Sunday school class is over, and reading improvements. To make it more exciting and add to the mystery by allowing the children to reach down in a bag or a bowl and get a piece of paper that will reveal what prize the children have

An experience that changed my life forever was coming to Northwest Christian for high school. Before I attended Northwest I spent all of elementary school and middle school at Rancho Solano. Although my time there was great, it was taught in a strictly academic worldview. Then during my eighth grade year, I made the decision to enroll in Boulder Creek High School. I began to get nervous because of the change in size, but then I started to embrace the idea of change.…

The morning starts bright and early, children arrive, their eyes are filled with excitement. Singing and dancing takes place, children laughing and playing with friends; they learn new stories and something new each day of the week. There is glitter, glue, paper, and stickers on the floor. Kids are surrounding you, wanting you to be their new best friend. Some children already know about Jesus and stories from the Bible.…

In terms of processing the course teachings, I found the Handbook for Transformative Learning difficult to retain at times. Although this is a topic of great interest to me and the current context in which I serve; the material has often caused me to gravitate more towards The Adaptive Leadership textbook by Heifetz. All things considered, I believe that the development of the Synergy paper actually presents the student and pastoral leaders with a unique opportunity to shape the destiny of the local church and the AME denomination by virtue of two major advantages at their disposal. First, the availability and accessibility of successful nationally recognized experts in the area of Adaptive Leadership and Transformative Learning. Having a full arsenal of proven experts present during our first semester at Payne Theological Seminary caused a hunger in my spirit.…

“School”, a word that many young children and adults hate to hear or speak. In elementary and high school, students attend classes seven hours a day, five days a week, nine months out of the year. Going to an institution of education is a youth’s full time job. Learning becomes the only thing important in their lives and they are required to devote a large majority of their time to it. Spending almost 12 years of my life in a school, it has had a large influence on my life.…

My passion to be a teacher in the Catholic school system has started a long time ago when I decided the teaching profession was for me. I was just coming out of my Catholic high school and I had made a decision to take a Bachelor of Health Science Degree, in physical education and biology with the end goal to become a high school teacher. It was during this time when I noticed myself asking for help a lot and depending on God’s plan to determine my success. " Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.…

Central to a person’s beliefs and actions lies their worldview. That is, what a person views as real, true, and of value will dictate how a person acts, responds, and views others. More than this, a person’s views in these areas will determine what that person gives his or her attention to and what that person avoids. Whether or not we take the time to analyze each of our beliefs and to determine whether they complement our other beliefs, we have a worldview and act based upon our worldview. Thus, it is important for Christian educators (or really all Christians) to examine their own worldview and ensure that their worldview is based on truth and not on relativity.…

My main goal is to shape young people into disciples filled with Bible knowledge and to help send them out in the world to witness to the unsaved. I plan to do this by combining the discipleship model and the ministry model talked about by Richard R. Dunn in his book, “Reaching A Generation For Christ”. He states that the philosophy of the discipleship model as, “The discipleship model trains students to be God’s people in an ungodly world, equipped with Bible study and prayer skills developed in a caring atmosphere with a view to reproducing their Christian lives in other” (175). This philosophy would be fulfilled by small groups or “trainings” held on a weekly basis. I would like to keep a very close, relational youth group.…
