Personal Narrative: My Missions, Goals, And Values

Everyone has missions, goals, and values; and it is shown to others through your actions. I asked a handful of friends what they believe these things are. One friend that I have only known for 2 months now had the most excellent answer in my opinion. He said my mission, “is to be there to help people who have had similar struggles and give them that push up the mountain”. I really do believe that is my mission because I want to be a therapist and help struggling teens because I wished I had more supportive people when I was struggling. I whole heartedly agree with what he said because that really is how I am. When I experienced something and someone I know might go through that same problem makes me want to give them advice and help them through the situation.

I am that one friend that always gets called in the middle of the night if something is wrong and I will drive over in a snap if anyone needs me. I believe I am a very loyal person and I am glad that it is shown without having to specifically mention it to people. Another way I have shown my values was completing high school and going to college in general. I am the first in my family to go to college and both of my parents did not make it past high school. Also to add on to my accomplishments, I am the only child in my family to go to college. I went to a private Lutheran school so it was more difficult than public school in my opinion. Then at the same time I had a huge family problem going on so I did show my will power to overcome these difficulties and get my diploma. Another hard difficulty was my senior year in high school when I was in the hospital for a month due to an acute kidney failure. It happened a day before thanksgiving. To add onto that it was the last month before end of semester exams. To this day that is a major accomplishment for me because I studied very hard to pass those classes so I could graduate on
