I did not see my grandfather from my parental side because he died before I was born, but I was able to see my grandfather from my maternal side. I can remember whenever he came visiting to my house he brings plenty of candies; he also gave me money to buy more if the once he bought were not enough.
I chose my Grandmother from my maternal side among my grandparents because I was raised by her in Nigeria for sixteen years before I moved to the United States. She started living in my family house after her husband death. Her name is Theodora Ndigwe. She

She made sure I respected my elders, but on this very occasion I disrespected my aunt by fighting with my aunt because she laid her hands on me because I accidently broke a wine glass while I washed the dishes. She scolded me and asked me to apologize. I felt so disappointed because I was always a good child until that day. Her words of advice still linger in my memory, she advised me on how to stay modest and appreciative. Most importantly, I should be obedient and stay out of trouble while I am over here. I was very close to my grandmother who lived with my nuclear family since I was four. She was really an important figure as well as an adviser in my life. She always tried to give everything she had whenever I was in need, especially in terms of my

My Grandma was a kind, selfless woman who would never let you go hungry. Grandparents as Parents In the US, grandparenthood, on average, starts at fifty years old for women and at fifty-two years old for men. When people think of entering the grand parenting stage they think of becoming a valued elderly member, being able to keep family traditions going, and also being able to have the joy of being around babies and children occasionally. Most people do not think they will have to become the primary caregiver of their grandchildren, but sometimes this is exactly what happens. Even though I lived with my grandfather as well, I rarely got along with him alone and I rarely talk to him only if I wanted something, but grandmother disagreed.
