My overall classroom experience was good, which lead to some crazy experiences, but it was difficult because of the fact that I lost someone so very dear to me. Losing my great grandfather, whom is my mom’s grandfather did impact my semester in a very negative way and made it difficult to focus at times because of the stress it caused on me. Not being able to believe that it actually happened and the fact that he is gone and shaken me up, and it becomes so hard randomly. Sometimes I feel the need to just give up, but I always remember what a great fighter he was, so to make him proud I just have to pull it together through these times.

He taught us all so much, from history about where our last names came from and what each one means. He was always the man I went to whenever I needed to know something about our culture, or whenever I was doing research papers for school and needed information. First person I would go to for information on something and he always would be pleased to help out by doing his own research and handwriting all the information in English and giving it to me. He was a hero! The one and only man that I could go on walks with to learn about the past and just openly talk with. The little things always make me happy. Although, when he left half of me went with him that I can no longer open up about with anyone else. This man taught me so much and I am so grateful for 20 years of joy and happiness he brought into my life, although I wish it could have been longer and knowing there was no chance of it being longer, I will always be blessed for having such a wonderful great grandfather. This man had touched my heart in so many ways. Although, the most important thing he taught all of his children was to never give up, regardless of the fight and to always get through it because if life were simple it would not be worth living; wise words from a wise
