Importance Of Motivational Techniques
It is very important for bosses, owners, managers, and supervisors to get to know each one of their employees and find out their goals and special skills. In order to use the motivational techniques correctly and appropriate, each employee must be understood clearly and the employer needs to know the wants of the future of the employees as well. Sergeant George Welsh did not take the time to look at how things are being ran before he arrived as the management position. Sergeant George Welsh did not take the time to talk with the employees in order to see what they thought about how things was being ran or what changed do they think needs to be done. It is easy and clear to see that theory Y is a lot better than theory X. Theory X is when all employees try to stay away from employers as much as possible. With theory X there is no room for employees to grow and move on with their career. (Moore& Miller; Chapter 4; pg.126; 2011). Theory Y is the best and allows the employees, employers, and even the company to grow and move forward. The theory Y is more relaxing and less stressful than the theory X. Theory Y is more growth developing for the employees and the employees does not hate coming into work. Theory Y helps the employees with self-control and self-direction as they are going through an obstacle regardless of how big or how small that obstacle is. (Moore& Miller; Chapter 4; pg.128; 2011). Sergeant George Welsh should have taken the extra steps and communicated with his employees in order to get the communication, honesty, trust, respect, and support that he needs to complete his job employment together. Hopefully, Sergeant George Welsh will come to an understanding that he needs the whole task force on his side
