We both walked inside the building, and once we entered, my emotions and memory flew back into my body. Immediately, my senses came back as well, and now the colorless objects looked as radiant as ever. With my mother following behind me, I turned right, walking to the chorus room. I pondered on whether my friend Andrew would make it into Midnight Special, as that was both our goals. Hopefully, I thought to myself. My mother waited outside as I walked inside the chorus room. My glasses reflected the stunning light in the empty room, making them look glossed to perfection. I heard a door close to my right, and jerked my head to the side. However, there was nothing to be worried about; it was just another chorus student trying out for Midnight Special.

His eyes glimmered with excitement. I was prepared for what he was going to say, ready to shrug off the reassurement. However, my prediction was incorrect.
