It is not an easy decision to get into medical school. Thinking about the years I will spend digging between the books and running from one side of the building to another definitely gave me goose bumps. However, that feeling was not anywhere near a bad one, on the contrary, it was that kind of excitement that nothing else can give to you.
Two main factors seeded and watered the love of medicine in me: the first one is having two doctors in the family; my father and my sister, who spend their time helping out others with all they can and showing how much of a noble job medicine is. I also had the opportunity to do an observership at Rush Center for Congenital and Structural Heart Disease in Chicago in September 2014, which has given me a great experience in communication skills and helped me understand the healthcare system in the United States.
I am currently an Internal Medicine resident at King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan, which has a high level expertise and deals with highly diverse and complicated situations of Internal Medicine and Oncology. I chose this institution for my transitional year to gain more knowledge and to build up my clinical skills. I can firmly state that during my residency here I learned that it takes more than interest and inclination to become an excellent physician , and that learning medicine does not end by the end of medical school, but rather it

The study of medicine has evolved over thousands of years from something of an enigma governed by religious spheres to the highly specialized science of preventing, treating, and curing diseases of the human body.
