At first, the prince was desperate to get back to how he was: carefree, irresponsible, living life without truly thinking through his actions. And so was the girl, desperate to return back to her life so she could fulfill her dream of owning the restaurant. In return for her help in turning him back into a human, the frog promises her the money to buy that building. But the unexpected happens as they fight for what they think they want. They fall in love. And, as all Disney movies are prone to do, the storyline concerning that unconditional love becomes the highlight of movie. But I took away something much more substantial than that. The human mind is as easily changed as the desires of the soul. The city of New Orleans was a much a vital instrument in conveying that theme as the interactions between the two main characters. Without the magic of New Orleans as the setting, then the frog and his princess would never have realized what they really wanted in life, nor would they have started to see beyond the black and white imaginings of what they believed to be their dreams and started to see the in-between shades of gray and …show more content…
While in truth, I often think in terms of black and white, I also often see the shades of silver, gray, charcoal and tar that compose the other 98% of opinions and facts of the situation. The statistical analysis and composition of Tulane University are the terms in black and white; the opportunities and possibilities are the shades in between. For quite some time I have known my major of choice is anthropology, and I have entertained the possibility of a double major or a double minor. For each college I have toured my first three questions are always: how is the study abroad program? What is the anthropology major like? What is the average acceptance into graduate school if I wish to pursue a pre-law or pre-med direction with an anthropology major? With every black and white question I ask, dozens of gray questions and silver thoughts pop into my head concerning my future at that
