Essay On Literary Circles

Literary Circles Literary Circles, not a total bust “what do you know”. I thought I wouldn’t like them but I really did, I learned a lot while being allowed to be extremely social. The actual book was really good. I liked the overall idea of the literary circles because it forced me to get out my comfort zone and read a book that I would have naturally vetoed the second I saw it. With that said there isn’t much I would change. I also liked the liitersry circles because they were way better, honestly easier, and more fun.

One thing that I would change though is the fact that none of us had any say in the entire thing other than our choice of presentation. For example with the book instead of us being put at a table with the book and then

Well I wish but I’m actually pretty proud of my group. Johnna hands down was the mom of the group which in this case. She kept everybody on task and made sure we got our work done. She would even text and talk to us in other classes reminding us about what has to get done. She just kept everything running so she, by far, did the best in the group. Next spot easily goes to Mason. He was just positive, understanding, REALLY patient. For example one day when we were working on a character analysis sheet h Abutu just kept talking, and talking, and talking. Everyone was just so fed up except for Mason and he would keep saying and doing little things to keep everyone calm and just relieve tension. After Mason I would say me and Charlotte were pretty even in the group when it came to participation. Charlotte and I both brought the life to the party ( well group in this case ). When everyone would be tired we would bring the energy to wake everybody up so we could get to work. Even though me and Charlotte were just balls of energy we still got work done and were really productive. Granteded we still needed more reminders than Mason or Johnna but we were overall well behaved. Then finally we have Abutu to who actually didn't do that much. Well he was okay in the beginning but towards the end, not s hot. He just sat there asking a million and one random questions that had

During and after the group project I got a better understanding of NAVAL and a better understanding of my group. The quest that happens in every story relates to American Literature in a significant way. The quest is not just the character going somewhere, the quest is way more beyond that. In How to Read Literature like a Professor, Thomas C. Foster tells us that a quest consists of five things: 1) a quester, 2) a place to go, 3) a stated reason to go, 4) challenges and trials, 5) a real reason to go. It may seem like a normal story but beyond the lines and words there is some more powerful to the written piece. Foster states “The real reason for a quest never involves the stated reason.”…

Tension has been made into books for a long time. It is the confliction of opinions, relationships, demands, or implications. In the "Other Side" by Jacqueline Woodson there is plenty of tension between racism and segregation, she shows this through the characters and the setting. While as in "We Beat the Streets" by Sharon Draper the excerpt takes a place where most people do not come up or become great things and it is also shown through characters and the setting. To begin, Jacqueline Woodson created tension in "The Other Side" by using the characters along with the setting.…

Hands on work being her favorite learning style I created multiple assignments and games such as a riddle and construction projects. I allowed her to take on tasks her own way, but kept her focused by endorsing the classroom and courtesy rules. By teaching her to use manners when conversing with other students or adults, stay focused when given a certain assignment project, and always assess the situation thoroughly before acting, I proved to be a “big sister” in this program. Overall, I believe that my leadership roles on a team and in the classroom impacted my life in a positive manner. I have learned to place others before myself in order to achieve a greater outcome, be not only a role model for my school and for my reputation, but for the next generation, and lead others in the right direction in life.…
