Everybody has learned their language since they were children, especially their mother tongue. The process occurs naturally and properly with a view to communicate in society environment. As one of the International languages, English plays an important role almost in all aspects of life. English has been becoming a compulsory foreign language in Indonesia.
There are four main skills in English: reading, listening, speaking, and writing.Listening ability in English as foreign language also plays an important role in building communication skill. Listening is considered as receptive skill, in which people need the ability to receive spoken language. Actually, teaching English has some skills that must be learned. So it is indeed the most basic skill in any language learning process, be it language acquisition or foreign language learning. In fact, listening skill becomes ever more impor¬tant in the case of teaching modern foreign languages to young learners, as it will be discussed throughout this article.
Much students said that English is a difficulties lesson. It is shown that the difficulty of their learning English comes from their listening. There are several prediction students problems in English lesson, first is less hear in English, in fact there are much students bored when listening to a narration or dialog as they attempt to understand the meaning of new words or phrases in context from their teacher the students can’t understand the meaning of some words to their teachers without look up the

We should, however, be aware that any kind of listening comprehension activity needs to be well guided with clear aims. To this end, Ur (1996) argues that a listening purpose should be provided in the definition of a pre-set task. The definition of a purpose (a defined goal, as in the “wake up” example) enables the listener to listen selectively for significant informa¬tion. Providing the students with some idea of what they are going to hear and what they are asked to do with it helps them to succeed in the task; it also raises motivation and interest. The fact that learners are active during the lis-tening, rather than waiting until the end to do something, keeps the learners busy and helps prevent boredom. Song is one of cooperative learning method that have many advantages in teaching listening. So songs are excellent means through which children have fun and at the same time acquire language.
