Life Skills Class Essay

Throughout my entire experience of school from pre-K to high school I have learned many things. In school we would always focus on English, reading, science, and math, all of which are helpful and a needed for life, but there was always one class missing that I wish the school curriculum had which was a life skills class. A life skills class would be a great addition to school curriculum because the world we live in today is constantly changing and students without the knowledge of life skills wouldn’t be able to adapt to the changes and would ultimately end up struggling to get ahold of their lives. Learning how to deal with money is just one of the important skills that would be taught in a life skills class. Money is a very important aspect of life and when it isn’t handled or managed the right way it can lead to many problems that can become very stressful. While in school many kids drive and when owning a car, making sure you have gas in the car is a very important thing. However, some kids may struggle with this because of how much gas costs. Gas is very expensive and adds up quickly when trying to fill your tank and most of the times the parents of the kid might have to help out with the cost because maybe the kid doesn’t make enough money or maybe because the kid doesn’t know how to manage his money and spent most of it going out to eat or spending it on clothes. With a life skills class students can learn how manage their money and create a budget along with possibly opening up a bank account to help save and secure their money. Another lesson about money that would be taught in a life skills class is how to deal with student loan debt. Student loans are designed to help
