Music is important and precious because it is a universal thing - anyone and everyone can listen to any type of music and just enjoy it, no matter the language boundaries or what anybody else thinks of a certain type of music; it still gives the same message. K-pop is artistically superior because it’s not just about whether the artist can sing or not, but the artist’s overall stage presence is equally as important. Groups and artists not only sing, but also dance as well. These dance routines are so complicated and challenging that they would be usually performed by professional dancers. This takes an insane amount of hard work and skill to have the ability to sing live while performing these routines. Artists are put through years of intensive training to be able to sing stabally while dancing. They practice for hours every day perfecting every dance move and every note to the point where their bodies ache and throats strain in order to become successful artists. For example, Desiigner, a rapper, would not think of writing or singing a ballad love song or Metallica, a rock band, would not think of writing or singing a hip hop song. All artists in K-pop go through different eras with their music styles and looks. Most girl groups and artists can go from a cute, bubbly concept for one era and then switch it up to a more dark, sexy concept. Most boy groups and artists can go from a hip-hop influenced concept to a more R&B concept. All these artists are able to broaden their style in music and not be glued down to just one generic sound.
