Importance Of Kindergartners

The teacher really does not say what they can do she is usually straightforward with what they should be doing. She usually will say, “Today we will be doing” or if they are doing something they should not be doing, the teacher will say, “ lets go over the rules” so the kids are reminded that they should be doing something else. However, substitutes tend to use can or cant. For example, some kindergartners receive extra help with other teachers and one kid was going to leave and the substitute told him that she does not believe he can leave the room. The substitute seemed to get frustrated really easy with all of the kindergartners and would tell them they can’t talk during daily five rotations. Quite frequently I am catching myself saying

It was and probably will always be my least favorite subject, nothing against you my lovely English professor, but I just don’t enjoy it. Child-initiated activity hands practitioners a very powerful opportunity for learning. To make the most of this, as a practitioner you must: * maintain children's focus - actively using a range of strategies to keep the children engaged and extend their learning - introducing new words, thinking out loud, introducing more complex speech, bringing in new problems, encouraging conflict negotiation, demonstrating or explaining new ways of working towards a solution * offer assistance and support, when needed, so children are successful in following their ideas, even something simple like holding an object while a child works * ensure the learning environment offers a wide range of stimulating open-ended materials, both outdoors and indoors, for…

In many discussions with my administrator, I have come to realize that teacher attendance is becoming a problem at our school. In the past the teachers have had to find their own substitute, but a new program now does it for them. It is much easier to just submit an absence as opposed to having to call a list of potential substitutes until one agrees to fill in. In an attempt to encourage teachers to attend school whenever possible and recognize the teachers who have a good attendance record, I created the Postman award.…

Try to picture a kindergartener trying to do an adult job like being an electrician they would get shocked every time they try to fix the wires. Do we think that the rules we learned as kindergarteners applies to life today? Next, I believe it does not apply to the lessons we learned in kindergarten for the following reasons: we are more mature now, we know that if we want something we have to work hard for it, and life is not as easy as it once might have been. To begin, we are more responsible than we used to be when we was in kindergarten. Since we have not been in kindergarten for 10 years I think it is false to assume we have not gotten more mature.…

In algebra, letters are used to substitute for numbers. Algebra is about finding the unknown to make things easier, which involves by following some simple rules. As can be seen in Appendix C, where I used letters to represent the cost of items. In saying that, many people seem to be intimidated with algebra, which Lakin (2011, p. 65) states algebra injects fear into the hearts of people. I also correlate with this anxiety as I only began to learn basic algebra in secondary school.…

A recent study on social and emotional risk and protective factors that predict early school problems or success found that "children who do not begin kindergarten socially and emotionally competent are often not successful in the early years of school—and can be plagued by behavioral, emotional, academic, and social development problems that follow them into adulthood (U.S Department of Health and Human Services). " Creating a positive social relationship is an important outcome of preschool, possibly more important is avoiding social isolation. Research shows that it is possible to predict as early as preschool the kind of children who will have social and academic problems, because they are already either overlooked or casted off by other children. To develop positive social relationships it is important to build relationships with parents so that children feel safe, secure, and comfortable with their teachers. Provide opportunities for children to work and play together.…
