My schooling prior to highschool was very scripted. The majority of my elementary years focused on interpersonal, linguistic, and logical mathematical intelligences. I struggled in my early education in part because I didn’t understand the concept that there many different kinds of intelligences. Understanding the theory of multiple intelligences has helped me become a better learner, and is going to help me make educated post highschool decisions. Understanding my different strengths and weaknesses is key in not only in my education but also carries a large bearing on what I will pursue as a career after college. My main strengths lie in four different intelligences: logical mathematical, naturalist, spatial, and bodily. All of these intelligences …show more content…
This has lead me to become an avid problem solver. My logical mathematical intelligence has evolved as I have advanced in my education. I use this intelligence every day in school to solve problems that do not have a formula or direct solution, this means your brain must use logic and past experiences to solve these types of problems. I use my logical and mathematical intelligences to solve problems such as explaining a scientific phenomenon, or interpreting data from a graph. This logical problem solving will become increasingly helpful as I take the SAT which focuses heavily on logic and data interpretation. Secondly as my education progresses into upper level classes and college the material will become more abstract and complex, and this is where my logical mathematical intelligence will become key to my …show more content…
I hope to pursue a career in wildlife biology. This career will provide me with a unique workplace where I can use many of my different intelligences. In this field of work not only will I get be in nature, I will be putting to work my many unique intelligences like using logic and mathematics to interpret data and conduct research. I will also use my naturalistic intelligence to notice details and make observations about the world around me.
