Qualities help people define who they are and help a person make decisions in life, a perfect cadet or future officer for the United States Military Academy would have unquestionable integrity as Eisenhower stated, also these other qualities: discipline, respect, ambition, self-confidence, realism, intelligent, open minded, courage, and organized. Every person can't succeed without these qualities, but a key one to success would be self-confidence.

If a cadet or officer respects the authority they follow, they will be more willing to cooperate and listen to that authority. Just listening to the authority though isn't enough, the person needs to have the discipline to follow that authority. Every military personnel should have discipline, if not, they won't follow anything and try things that will end in disaster. Disaster can be avoided though if this cadet is intelligent and organized.
These are probably the most important of all the qualities, intelligent and organized.
