These reasons include having access to all of my teacher or counselor’s e-mails. By having access to all of these e-mail addresses I will be able to keep up to date with all of the assignments I may need to turn in or that I may have coming up. Thanks to this class I am also able to function Microsoft Word much more efficiently than I was able to prior to coming on center. I had forgotten a vast majority of the tools and functions that Microsoft Office is able to perform. I had completely forgot how to work Microsoft Power-point but after completing this course I will be able to create an entire slideshow including clip-art’s, still images, 10 plus slides, and header and footer’s. I will be able to carry these skills I have obtained into any profession that I may pursue because Microsoft Office is the main source of programs that are needed to complete any task on the computer. Thanks to this class I will not feel completely helpless when I get assigned to create a spreadsheet on excel, a slideshow on power-point, an essay or official document on Microsoft Word with a proper format. This class has improved my typing skills which will benefit me even when it comes to social networking. The power-point presentation practice will assist me with any sort of display I may need to do in order to progress through the company I am with in the future. Without this class I honestly do not think that I would have been able to complete assignments and tasks that I received through Job Corps in the future. I feel that this class was very beneficial to me and anybody else that took it for an endless amount of reasons, it is just a matter of whether or not you are willing to accept new information and knowledge. At first I was a little iffy about taking an intro to technology course considering I have always been very advanced when it comes to computers. But once I began the course I realized on the very first day that I had forgotten a lot of key components that are necessary to complete quality work on the computer. I am very appreciative that this course was placed in the second week of the introductory phase at Job Corps because that is the perfect time for it considering the fact that the first week we did not need any computer knowledge, and from here on out we will most likely need computer knowledge the entire way through our
