Importance Of Indian Nationalism Essay

The term Nationalism is universal. It is timeless and placeless. It was of great importance, pre independence as well as post independence. The term nationalism means love for one’s own country and respect for other countries. For people to express nationalism it is first necessary for them to identify themselves as belonging to a nation that is a large group of people who have something in common.
We celebrate Republic Day, Independence Day but are they enough to show the sense of nationalism? No, it is not! Nationalism stands for love for your nation, your country men, sense of brotherhood irrespective of caste, creed & religion. But do we find any of them in India, or in that case in all other countries? No, we don’t. Instead we find Hindus and Muslims waging war against each other and many other activities which are against nationalism. Nationalism is of immense importance and this project deals with the same. People keep talking about nationalism but then no one follows it in true sense. It is said that India is developing, India is shining but my question is that if we Indian lack the very feelings of nationalism then how can we say that our nation is developing? All of us fail to understand the actual essence of nationalism. For the purpose of social reformation and upliftment I have chosen this
