Learning outside the classroom by using mobile devices creates an informal environment and creates the use of the whole world as a learning space (Ally & Tsinakos, 2014). Ally and Tsinakos states ‘the personal digital device gives learners the ability to appropriate and personalise their own learning experience, to autonomously acquire the learning material that they want, whenever and wherever they wish to do so’ (Ally & Tsinakos, 2014 p223). Examples of supported learning are; students can share and receive feedback on their progress from tutors, teachers and their peers online easily (Digital Education Advisory Group, 2013) and Students who are hesitant in classroom discussions can post their questions to their teacher through an online forum (Afreen, 2014). The DEC NSW has endorsed a framework for digital citizenship which contains six domains; digital conduct, digital footprint, digital relationships, digital health and wellbeing, digital law and digital financial literacy, together with two themes based on cyber safety and bullying (NSW DEC, 2013). This framework and the following solutions provides solutions to finance, technical support, security and theft that is evident in schools
