Reform is an important part of history, it has changed the world in several different ways. It is the essence of change in civilizations since the dawn of time. It also is a factor in religious beliefs and places of worship. History is shaped by reforms, some might come smaller than others. But they all alter history and still do today. Without reform the progress in civilization would be stable for the most part. That’s why it’s important to consider reform in historical events. These types of Reform have helped shaped the past and the present as we know it. Economic reform can come in several different ways. Economic crashes can result in economic reform, because of errors in the system need to be fixed to improve the economy. Economic reform can also be caused by war or famine. Social reform is a more civil reform, meaning for the people. More of a human rights type reform that can change the way certain people live. Examples of social reform would Women’s rights, civil rights, etc. Social reform has been an important part of history and continues to be. The next type of reform is political reform, which is reforms within some sort of governmental system. From the first forms of government in the Roman Empire to the present day governments. Political reform can reshape nations and create enormous growth. Or can rebuild a crippled nation, for example the Great Depression. It was under Franklin D. Roosevelt who reformed the United States government with new policies to help stagnate the US economy. Sometime reforms like these can effect multiple types of reforms like the Great Depression. You see that there are several different kinds of reform. That reform is a change either through humans or nature. It can be to favor a single person or an entire country. When it comes to reform there are three main types of reform, economic, social, and political. These types are very broad and can sometimes be mixed together. I think reform is not always a positive shift in history. Finding out that reform does help explain history, by looking at major events. This helps to figure out why something happen and what the results were. It’s impossible to predict what the world would be like today if there was no reforms over time.
