experience impacted me. As I ran around town desperately searching for help- money that is, I was concluding quickly there would not be any help from local bankers. I finally gave in and went and asked a “friend” of mine for $800.00. I hope it doesn’t embarrass my family in anyway. I just have to make a solid point. Well, I called him a friend because I use to play softball with him. He was really helping me out with some injury issues, as he was a local professional, as well. I truly enjoyed his companionship. Now saying this, I am going to possibly give away the source. Hopefully, this person is not embarrassed by this or hurt in any way. To make a long story short, I asked him for the money ($800) and he did give it to me.
Now, let me say that one more time, He did GIVE it to me. Now, what he said after that, I will never forgot and it impacted my life forever. Become a supporter and encourager of allowing them a day to themselves every once in a while. I don’t know the real time frame, but at minimum, twice a year. Plan on it, schedule it, and heck who knows, you may need one of those days yourself. I love my wife and have been married for 35 years now, but it is good sometimes for me to have a day that I “soul search” all to myself or spend a day reading, writing, hunting or dreaming. We have both benefitted from this. Sometimes, it just happens. Again, I stress this option and guidance in a real, mature and good way.
