I met the Warrant Officer of the Air Force (WOFF-AF) during the trip and shared with him on my course experience. I was presented with the WOFF-AF coin. It is given to the student who made the most significant contribution to the overall success of the course. I visited the Australian War Memorial to recce for the following day’s presentation and attended the "Last Post" which commemorates the 102,000 Australians who have given their lives in war and other operations over more than a century. At that very evening, I had an informal dining in session with the Deputy Chief of Air force (Dy CAF), RAAF, and the WOFF-AF. I was honoured to be seated beside Dy CAF at the Top Table. I was presented with the WOFF-AF pen by the WOFF-AF and the Air Force Warrant Officer Leadership Compact by the Dy CAF at the end of the Dining In. These tokens signifies that I had officially accepted the roles and responsible of a Warrant Officer. The next day, I presented my research on RAAF involvement in the Vietnam War, focusing on its participation in past conflicts, at the Memorial in the presence of my course mates and public audience. It was exciting and unforgettable as it was my first large group public speaking experience.
The course also provided an opportunity for me to interact and share my views with the Australian WOFFs. Friendships were forged and further strengthened through class activities and bonding sessions after lessons. I was glad that I could adapt quickly enough even though there were many differences between us in term of culture and traditions. I was certainly honoured that I had the opportunity to fly our Singapore flag
