Importance Of Filipino Family

Family is the basic unit of the society. Filipinos are very fond when it comes to family because Filipinos are known for giving importance to the presence of their families among anything. This trait is obviously common among the Filipino citizens and because of this remarkable closeness between the families, most of the parents are having a hard time in letting go of their children. For this reason, it explains why most of grandparents seen living with their children which is very different in the west. We devalued the senior citizens without considering their efforts especially their needs. A retirement home or sometimes known as the old people’s home or home for the aged is a kind of home that is not like the usual home. It is a home for the people who are not able to have a proper care and it is a place where old people can live together and be cared for when they are too weak or ill to take care of themselves. An aging parent’s declining health, can be difficult to cope with as the roles of parent and child are suddenly reversed. Some offspring put their parents in nursing homes or home for the aged. And they have certain reasons why they do that. Sometimes it is because of the health care needs, and sometimes it is because of the personal obligations.
