Dr. Oktay is very happy with what he has created, the ability to change lives and make families very, very happy. However, there is a lot more to the job then just happiness. One con of the job would be no quick rewards. As a fertility preservationist you will have to go to school for a very, very, very long time. Dr. Oktay went to Hacettepe Medical School which is a medical school in Turkey. Because Turkey is in Europe Dr. Oktay went to 6 years of medical school while you have to go to 8 years here in the USA. In total Dr. Oktay went to 6 years of medical school, 4 year residency, 3 years Fellowship and 1 year of research, in total this is 14 years of education. Thus proving no quick rewards from this job. However an average day could consist of, surgery, seeing patients, working with researchers, writing research papers, answering calls and going to the lab. As a fertility doctor the day turns into a cycle, when stressed out with patients, move to the lab, when done in the lab, make calls or submit papers. Dr. Oktay states that a good day on the job is when all patients tests are positive, there is a straightforward easy schedule, and all experiments have succeeded. However a bad day would be when all patients tests are bad, the patients complain, a big help to the job quits, and experiments fail. That would be the worse case
