Specifically, when the students that take part in extracurriculars do something that not only benefits them but the whole school. One example being rock and roll revival. RRR not only brings together many students for their natural talents, but it brings in money for the school. This money can be used for: new uniforms for sports, new textbooks, better lunch, and other school-related items in need. If funding towards extracurriculars is cut more then projects that bring in revenue for the school and encourage students to work together will never happen.
Overall art is important to the school system; it should not be taken out just so the football team can get new uniforms every other year while other sports teams are stuck in the same uniform. Extracurriculars should not make the school system suffer with or without it. It should only improve the curriculum by making it more interest, interactive, and beneficial to both the students and the school administration.
