Word extracurricular comes from the two words; the prefix extra, a Latin word which means “on the outside” and curricular or curriculum meaning “refers to all of the work you do regularly inside the classroom”. Thus, extracurricular is taking activities on the outside of your course or career. It is an integral part of the students’ life. Beside from the performance in the classroom, grades and test score extracurricular enable the students to know who really, they are and what exactly what they like and capable to do.
Extracurricular activities also refer as non-collegiate or non-scholastic activities outside the boarder of regular curriculum. Usually activities are offered by the school but are not part of the course of study and usually carrying no academic credit. No extra points for their grades are added even if students participate in the activity.
