1. What is Entrepreneurship? Why is it important in modern society?
Entrepreneurship:
Entrepreneur is originates from French word ‘entreprende’, which means “to undertake”. We can say this in business context “To start a business”.
We can define Entrepreneurship as “The ability and strong willingness to develop, organize and managing a firm/company/business venture along with its all risks in order to make a profit”.
Importance of Entrepreneurship in modern society:
As lot of dynamicity happening in the current market there is much more need to satisfy customer/client. Now a day’s people are able to book their movie tickets without standing in a queue. They are able get a pizza in 30 minutes even though they are far away from pizza corner.

Because entrepreneurial activities are much determinant level of generating wealth, success, opportunity and prosperity in an economy. Developed countries and dynamic societies are welcoming entrepreneurs to nurture their economic activities.
Many Economists states paradoxically as increasing entrepreneurship individually leads fierce competition in the market, which causes loss of career choices. In another way people may get confuse to choose the product and they are becoming unhappy. While entrepreneurship giving economic growth and all other material welfare, this is may not always give happiness in non-material welfare.
2. Discuss a few important characteristics of successful entrepreneurs. An Entrepreneur is always dedicated to his work, whether he successful or failure, it doesn’t matter to him. His commitment towards the goal is ultimately focused. So his experience in success will enhance him to achieve one more step to his goal and his failure will gives him, this is not a way to success. Both are important to make him Successful Entrepreneur. Among all other characteristics are one side and having good leadership skills are another side. Because your leadership leads to follow all your employees. Whatever the standards you set remaining will follow you.
These are some of the characteristics and qualities which we usually observe in many successful entrepreneurs. All the qualities may not appear in one but one should have one’s own qualities and he can apply in his business and successful eventually. 3. What are the main differences between debt and equity?
Debt and equity are financing types in business. Both terms are widely used in finance. Debt and equity are investing to make money. Both are having lot of difference, investor should know the differences between debt and equity to invest their portfolio properly.
Debt
• Investment in Debt is less risky than equity.
• To raise the capital using Debt is a burden to the company due to the company has to pay the interest every monthly.
• Returns are fixed and periodic.
• Investors earned coupon or monthly interest.
• Debt financing is borrowing money but not giving up any ownership.
• Money lenders are likely debt holders.
Equity
• Equity gives ownership.
• Investment in Equity gives more risk than
