I keep records of each overdue (sorted in files), registering the actions being taken and any communication concerning it. When an overdue is cleared, the accompanying documentation is disposed in accordance with privacy and confidentiality. To accomplish this I need to incorporate excellent time management skills to ensure that overdue library items are followed up on in a timely manner. I usually schedule this as a number one priority on a weekly basis. This procedure ensures that the library does not have a mass of items not being returned and achieves a correctly systemised library catalogue. My organisational and time management skills help the library in regards to overdue library items, make sure that procedures are being followed by the customers and that missing/lost items are managed in an appropriate

For example, libraries whether public, school, or academic are increasingly embracing makerspaces. Makerspaces offer the community a place where patrons can learn through interactive classes and provide advanced technology to a wide range of demographics, especially low-income patrons and minorities. I love how makerspaces are positively impacting their local community and how they help foster a new-found interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in young kids or even adults.…

The first dataset we could utilize would be unsupervised: data visualization to examine relationships between pair of variables. This dataset would represent the relationships between the DePaul students in the loop compared to Lincoln Park. This would illustrate how many students are utilizing the subscriptions being offered and the frequency that the students are using these by tracking the number of times the journals are being checked out. Not only would this give a better representation of which journals are worthy of keeping but also the format of whether it’s print or online. As a result, this dataset would showcase the amount of journals being checked out and which library location is seeing the most traffic and thus either reducing or increasing the allocation of resources to accommodate that location.…
