My biggest failure of my life so far is that I entered Shibuya Makuhari junior and senior high school. Before I came to this school, I was as a normal child as the other pupils in my elementary school. I had no career prospects then. If there was any career outlook for me, this was just to go to a local junior high school and senior high school as my classmates in elementary school went to. I didn’t think of any further perspective after graduation from a high school. Probably I would study somewhat to go to a passable university for a student of the local high school now and was going to start an undistinguished career, I suppose. However, since I came to Shibu-Maku, which stands for Shibuya Makuhari junior and senior high school, my career prospects changed 180 degrees. I decided to apply to Kyoto University and came to think that I want to be engaged in a town revitalization and preservation of old streets and houses. These changes result from one of the best educations in Japan for the principle of the school to respect diversity and active learning.

At first I wondered whether I needed to enter this school, but it turned out to be the best choice for me. I made great progress thanks to unique classmates and dedicated teachers at Shibu-Maku. Speaking of the classmates, all of them had a great impact on me by causing me to realize how diversity is achieved.
