Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. The issue we will be identifying today is the death penalty. We describe this as an execution, which is punishment by death. We will be addressing the cruelty and human rights.
These colours represent places which have removed the death penalty or haven’t. The blue represents they have removed the death penalty for all crimes, the light yellow represents the death penalty being abolished for crimes not committed in exceptional circumstances for example war, orange represents the death penalty being abolished in practice lastly the maroon still has the death penalty but only for certain offences.

But what about the right to feel safe? That’s not always the case but what about, the families that were affected on behalf of the person who destroyed their whole life just because he or she had problems in their life. The death penalty gives the families closure, not having to think about the person who destroyed there family, still alive, getting fed and also having whatever medical treatment he or she needs. The prisoner has the right to life yes? We could let him live stay in the prison but he could do bargaining with people he could connect with the outside world and get people to hurt the ones who have already been hurt. Yes it does happen, a former prisoner officer Lisa Harris was jailed for smuggling phones to inmates, and what they do with the phones? They are used to organise drug deals, plot murders and intimidate people or even the families through Facebook, that comes back to my saying the right to feel safe, this all gets done whist they are all in jail and under supervision but things can happen, it is possible. There were 1,800 phones confiscated since 2006 in Vacaville California. They get hidden inside all sorts of things, books, shoes, milk cartons and even bodies. The right to feel safe is a much more important thing as if your not safe you most likely wont have …show more content…
We are all equally entitled to our human rights without discrimination.

My opponent tried to tell you that it gives family 's closure, and because of the acts committed by the inmate it cause them to have to seek medical attention. However this isn 't always the case.

Many people and in particular a woman called Judy Kerr sister of a murder victim said, and I quote, many people have unsolved homicides and oppose the death penalty, because they recognize the resources were spending in the death penalty could much better be spent on prevention, deterrence, public safety and on finding the killers.

We could use the money used on the death penalty for medical treatment for these destroyed family 's, and find the killers of the cold cases, thus giving them closure.

Furthermore, Sentencing someone to death denies him or her the right to life. And nobody should be a subject to torture. Enriched in the universal declaration of human rights. The death penalty obviously kills people but it also tortures them by the brutal nature of execution, and by mandating them to wait until they 're to be killed. The rights belong to all of us, and an attack on the fundamental rights is an attack on all of us. The right to life is inalienable. These rights are a clearly drawn line, between what is right, and what is wrong. They may well have killed

The criminal should receive some pain in return for what they have done to others. Even if the death penalty was put to a stop because of the “pain” the criminals receive, other inmates in the prison would give them “what they deserve” for the crime they committed once they find out what they have done. People in prison still have morals, and if an inmate found out that another inmate killed a child and they had a son or daughter, they might get mad and beat him up, stab him,…

A murderer should not be able to roam the streets and perhaps commit another crime. The victims of horrible crimes should have a breathe of relief that the criminal is out of this world. Many who are not victims believe this, because they feel vengeful. They see stories on the news, or the papers, and they wonder why would someone do something so harmful as murdering an innocent. Many victims, such as Mark Klaas, believe the death penalty is a way of helping the victims move on.…

With the only reason that 's come up with is that a person should not be allowed to choose who lives or dies. That argument holds no grounds because as a society those who are deemed a danger are as a collective only a hi detente to the life of those who want to live a quiet life. Wanting to get rid of the death penalty will only increase the jail population and as such will create chaos within the prisons and produce more victims witching the prison. The death penalty does not just kill the worst of the worst, it also helps towards creating a better society. The death penalty is as old as time and has kept society 's afloat by eliminating those who hinder progress.…
