According to John Dewey, a curriculum which focuses at building critical thinking skills would advantage the individual learner, the community and the future development of society. Critical thinking is crucial in academics and learning process. Critical thinking is important in the process of building basic ideas and theories inherent in content which is called internalization learning process. For example, in primary school, teacher can bring students for an authentic walk to real garden, then distribute all those needed supplies to create “my garden”. This will train the students to think critically and creatively as they might need to apply new information with their prior knowledge to consider how a garden looks like, how big it is, what will be in the garden, etc. Another example, in secondary school curriculum, arts and crafts - “Batik Painting”, teacher asks students to find a natural object (floral and fauna), based on the features of the object, students then have to draw a pattern on the fabric. Teacher should not provide them an example of batik drawing then let the students to do
