Cricket is the second most popular sport in the world, and it 's played in over 120 countries. It is supported by millions of passionate fans of all ages. They play in the park, on the beach, and even in the street. To the layman, the game can seem a bit complicated, but it 's quite easy to understand once people know the basics. Fans have different ways to show their emotions like fighting with the friend during a match and after a game. Rich, poor, young, and old, this ancient 16th-century game unites and motivates people from all countries and cultures.
Depending on the format, the game of cricket can last hours, a day, and in the case of test cricket; after five days. “The test cricket means a cricket match with play spread over five days with illimitable overs played between two senior international teams.” (Hand, n.d.) The ground rules or laws, known in cricket are always the same. Cricket is played on a grass field with a specially prepared rectangular playing surface in the center. The picture shown is known as the cricket pitch. The pitch is where most of the action takes place. The two team 's play the game, and each team has eleven performers. The batters can be got out in some ways like bold, caught, and run out. The bowler strikes the stumps directly while bowling is called bold. Catching the ball in the air before it touches the ground is called supporters. Returning the ball to the end of the cricket pitch before the batter can complete their run is called run out. Once the batter is declared out by the umpire, they have to leave the field. After that, the out batsman will be replaced by the next batter. When all batters are out, the fielding team gets a chance to beat the score set by the first batting
