WHY PEOPLE VOLUNTEER
Local churches are gatherings of the Universal church members who come together to encourage, teach and build one another in Faith. Temples are reserved for religious and spiritual activities such as prayer and also sacrifices. Those who practice their religion in Temples are the Hindus, Buddhists, Jainists and Ancient Egyptian religions. The Local Churches and Temples feel that they should give back to the society through volunteering in many different opportunities. They term this as sharing your heart. Some see it as putting your faith into action. Volunteers are groups or individuals who offer their services for no financial gain. Volunteers are the most important resource a community can have. People volunteer through their local Churches or Temples for different reasons stated below but the most important reason is to improve the quality of human life. Some of these reasons are;

• Help the less fortunate or the voiceless
• Improve the Environment

Many people in the world are faced by poverty and hunger, volunteering towards breaking the poverty cycle makes a difference to their lives. Volunteers from the local churches and temples listen to the needs of the people and then work in harmony to meeting these needs. They provide the basic commodities like food, clothes and shelters to those in need. They also work with the people to help them getting their dreams come true and making their hopes a reality. In most cases, it is poverty which prevents people from reaching their dreams. By supporting their innovations, the volunteers are able to eradicate poverty from its root cause. Some religious organizations have microfinances which they give microloans to the less fortunate at low interests that will help them start businesses or grow their
