This activity, I performed at my clinical specialty rotation at Streamwood behavioral hospital. So, at this site we had to attend staffing every morning with different team. During staffing MD, nurses, and social workers were discussing patient’s current behavioral situations, what is working out and what is not working out with the treatment plan and other alternative options to better treatment of the patient. My specific role in this activity was to study patients I was assigned to, discuss in during staffing, answer any questions related to medications and gather specific drug information for MD if he wants to try that alternative medication on his patient. So, in this activity I was playing important role providing and gathering clinical information for better treatment of patients.

I heard about rounds with other healthcare providers from my colleagues and friends but never got chance to participate and I was very excited to participate in rounds. So, at my IPPE-II rotation, I got opportunity to participate in rounds with clinical pharmacist on duty. That was my first time attending rounds so

My talkative nature helps me build good professional relationship with other health care professionals and communicate effectively during rounds and contribute important clinical information with them. My friendly nature also helps other health care professionals not hesitating discussing their opinions with me. After solving all the queries I received from MDs related to medications, I am very confident that I will be able to solve any problems I with appropriate solution to it. For example, during staffing MD was hesitating starting his patient on MOA inhibitor due to its interaction with food and other medications. So, I was able to recommend MAO inhibitor in patch form to MD so he does not have to worry about Food and drug
