A world without censorship is an insane and wild world. Everyone would be freaking out about what the government is doing, or kids would know bad things at a young age, and know things they're not supposed to know. Some things must be censored in order to protect citizens.
Now, if anything bad is happening to the government, the government doesn’t censor anything, and lets the citizens know everything that is happening, many citizens will not know what to do, and most will worry too much about it. For example: in Fahrenheit 451, the government censors most things in order to keep everyone in the society happy and calm. In the book, the government also censors a lot of things in order to prevent chaos, and they censor things from the society
