Word-of-mouth marketing has always been considered the purest and best form of marketing, and social media has continued to prove this fact in many ways. People like to share with and feel connected to each other, brands, organizations, and even governments they like and trust.
It’s not a secret that social media is like the little black dress of marketing, branding, and public relations; you must have it now in order to complete your personal brand’s wardrobe. Without it and without using it properly, your brand will get lost in the noise of the crowded social media landscape.
There are multiple tactics you can use to grow your brand, but here is a few that I’ve seen to promote the most growth.

It 's great to have lots of connections, but what really matters is how people engage with the content you create. I strongly believe that it 's better to have a small and engaged audience than a large network that doesn 't respond to your content. If someone mentions you and follows you, respond to them and thank them. If someone has great content, then you should retweet. The more I began to experiment with this, the more people began to engage with me. Another form of engagement is to find weekly chats and join in on the conversations. It’s important to join chats that are relevant to your brand’s voice. You should also engage with hashtags on all posts to help reach a larger audience that is already searching for related information/topics. You probably spent countless hours developing your brand’s voice and it’s important to stick to that since a post that does not line up with your brand’s tone can confuse your audience. It can also mean that your brand does not have a cohesive mission. Knowing and committing to your voice will keep your audience engaged. Your voice is not the only thing that needs to stay consistent; you need to make sure you are staying consistent with the time you spend on engaging/posting. However, there is such thing as too much activity so it is important not to over post or it can lead to annoying/losing followers.
