Americans can often be embodied into many groups, but only three specific groups focus on the the continuous fight that goes on in this country. Soldiers have to fight for themselves and their country many times. John McCain stated how American soldiers struggled for their basic freedoms by stating, “Sitting there, with his eyes almost shut from his beating, making another American flag” (13). Making an American flag in a foreign country is a dangerous, yet bold move. The fierce act lead to demonstrate how Americans will fight for themselves and soldiers will fight for their countries. Minorities as well had fought for their rights countless times and continue to do so. Many can relate to Kesaya Noda’s statement, “We have indeed been seen as other and alien since the early years of our arrival” (3). Even though they are Americans, minorities are still seen as outsiders and subhuman; deserving no rights. That does not change anything, for minorities and soldiers fight everyday, making them and all Americans
